On August 13, Mr. Lê Võ Nhật Linh, an IT expert working at FPT Japan, participated in VTV4’s program to share his perspective on cybersecurity, cyber‑attack trends in the AI era, and international experiences that can be applied in Vietnam.
During the program, Mr. Nhật Linh noted that AI is becoming a tool that makes cyber attacks increasingly sophisticated. According to him, methods such as phishing emails or deepfakes can create highly personalized fraud scenarios that are difficult for users to detect. Hackers can exploit data from social networks, impersonate the voice or email of company executives to carry out financial fraud.
Drawing from his experience working in Japan, he said many companies are building a strict compliance culture with security procedures, adopting standards such as ISO 27001, and conducting regular cybersecurity training for all staff. Phishing simulation programs are also organized frequently to raise awareness and improve response capabilities to cybersecurity risks.
Assessing the potential for cybersecurity development in Vietnam, Mr. Nhật Linh believes Vietnam has an advantage with a young, dynamic, and highly competitive IT workforce. Moreover, many domestic tech companies have demonstrated their capabilities through high‑quality cybersecurity products and solutions.
He says that to enhance technological self‑reliance and develop “Make in Vietnam” products, continued investment in core technology research and development, promotion of international cooperation, and creating conditions for Vietnamese companies to engage more deeply in the global market are essential.
